These are the Emulator Scanner and main boot ROM files. They are .BIN files
and will need to be programed onto the correct EPROM chips. You then swap out the
old scanner and mainboot EPROM chips on your EII for the new ones.

Main ROM
* Latest version is 2.1

Scanner ROM
* Latest Version is 3.1
* Version 2.1 or higher is
  needed when EII is linked
  to a Mac

On my Emulator II, both scanner and mainboot EPROMs are identical chips.
Both are etched with the following information:

JAPAN  8510
U1009SS0
HN482764G-3

The HN number is the one which determines the EPROM type. I gathered
this is a chip number circa 1984-85. The chips is manufactured by
Hitachi.

I was able to use the following EPROM chips as substitutes for the
originals:

MBM2764-20

These are manufactured by Fujitsu.

I was able to use "MARTIN/EAL - Engineering Arts Laboratory" to
program by EPROMs. At the time, they also supplied the necessary
EPROM chip.
